Teacher of the Year is born out of the messy human side of teaching. The four-person, 75-minute comedy musical tells the story of an 8th grade English teacher, Franny Sultana, grappling with everything we see on the news (teacher shortage, safety, banned books, accusations of grooming) as she writes her acceptance speech for the coveted “Teacher Of The Year” award.
